Match day in Munich, arriving by train with a suitcase? Only bags up to A4 size are allowed into the Allianz Arena for football matches. The easiest fix: leave your luggage in town before heading to Fröttmaning.
Your options
- Near Hauptbahnhof: With us at Marsstraße 13, a five-minute walk from the station. Any size, bookable online, overnight too.
- Bag drop at the stadium: There is a drop-off for bags larger than A4 at the arena – but you have to haul your suitcase through the packed U6.
- Station lockers: Only if a suitable locker is free; large suitcases often do not fit.
Getting there
From Hauptbahnhof take any S-Bahn to Marienplatz, then the U6 towards Garching to Fröttmaning. From the station it is about a 15-minute walk to the stadium. Allow plenty of extra time on match days.
Tip
Drop by before the match, leave your suitcase and backpack, grab a coffee at Café MackGorilla and head to the arena relaxed. We are open daily from 7:15 am to 9:00 pm. Coming back later? Choose late pick-up until 11:30 pm when booking (one-off €25) – or simply leave your bags overnight and collect them the next morning.
